This is a project I did my freshman year and here are some of the images and ideation drawings that I did for my first 2 Dimensional Drawing Class In college.
I am very attracted to abstract art, so when I saw these, they instantly caught my eye! I really enjoy your play with different textures. i see a lot of line variation, stippling, crosshatching, erasing, and playing with materials. the areas that have ink on them really stand out. i wonder if it is to strong, if it would "flow" better if it was all pencil, or with more ink. Black and white hold a timeless quality for me, and i really enjoy looking at this grouping as if they are a moment in time (not a real moment obviously). What is the scale of these images? I would love to see them BIG. I think the bigger the better, and the darker the black the stronger the image could become.
I'm a third year stout student this year, i'm majoring in Multimedia Design with a concentration in Digital Animation. I play guitar in a sweet pop/rock band www.myspace.com/motionwhereyougo check it out. I'm also just a fun guy that loves PIXAR animation, if I didn't play music that would be my DREAM Job.
